Un it 8

Your blogs were very interesting. The majority think they will continue to blog after class; several don't. Most of you thought it had been beneficial.
It was totally new to me, and I have learned a lot from it. I was very skeptical at first, but I think it has helped our class bond into a true learnining community. I know you much better because of the blogs.

Question: Do you think there should be a required number of responses? Several indicated that they would have liked more comments. I am just curious. I know how busy you all stay, so my personal thought would be to leave it the way it is. Let me know what you think, perhaps in the last blog..kind of like the Last Train to Clarksville by the Beetles...

Revising seems to b e going well. Remember the Writing Center.

News: the Writing Center will start (perhaps in April) teaching different styles in addition to APA.

See you shortly for the last seminar of the term. OM Prof J

Time rushes on

I can't believe we are almost upon Unit 8. You have been busy on blogs and DB doing peer reviews and doing a good job to help each other. With all the helpful comments, you should all be able to revise your drafts and polish them for Unit 9 project. It's always a good idea to send them off to the Writing Center for a quick "look see," too. Prof J

Seminar 6

Hi Bloggers,
I sent you an e-mail about this as well. For tomorrow's seminar (#6), please have the copy of the sample rough draft from Unit Six (we have printed it off for discussion before). Go through the paper and create one sentence that captures each paragraph's meaning (it'll create a brief outline). We will then discuss the problems with the organization of the paper. You will do the same thing with your draft in Unit 6.

As we move on in the Units, remember to be much more careful with organization, spelling, mechanics, grammar, and complete sentences.

See you tomorrow. Happy Spring I hope. Prof J

I am still battling whtever bug I have..it's most irritating...my whole head is blocked up in some way or the other. See you in seminar. Prof J
